Cereal for some of us is a habitual morning routine. Our crunchy granola is a tasty nourishing alternative to the supermarkets sugar packed options. Full of anti inflammatory goodness. We love to add yoghurt and berries to it. For a winter warmer pour a hot cacao into the mix…..cocoa pops (but not)….only crunchy kinda vibe.
We will often add handfuls to a snap lock bag to consume during longer training sessions too??♂️??♀️
1 cup Shredded Coconut
1 cup Pepitas (pumpkin seeds)
1 cup Sunflower Seeds
1 cup Sesame Seeds
1 cup Almonds, slivered
1 tbs Coconut Oil, in liquid form
1 tbs Cinnamon, ground
1 tbs Nutmeg, ground
1/2 Sea Salt (celtic, himalayan)
1 tbs Cacao Powder
1 tbs Lemon Zest
1 tbs Fresh Ginger, finely sliced
1 tbs Cacao Nibs
- Line a large baking tray and preheat oven to 180 degrees.
- Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. *We use our hands to really massage the oil and spices into the nuts and seeds.
- Place all ingredients onto a baking tray and cook until slightly brown. 10-20 degrees.
Add a handful to puddings, smoothies, curries. Serve with your choice of mylk i.e coconut milk, coconut water, pouring cream, full cream milk, nut milk, etc.
Store in glass containers away from the sun, best to eat within a week or store in the fridge for longer.
